NC 260: Appeared in 1935 as new primary routing, running from US 221 Twin Oaks to the Virginia State line near Mouth of Wilson, VA, where the road continued as VA 93.
In late 1940, NC 260 was renumbered as NC 93, which it remains today. NC 260 was probably conceived under the original numbering scheme before the Great Renumbering.
