NC 2-A: Born between 1945-49 as new primary routing. Ran from NC 2 (Midland Rd) along Yadkin Rd to US 1 (now May St) It appears NC 2-A became part of NC 2 in 1951 or 1952. Today, this is nearly all secondary as the current US 1 runs very close to the west endpoint of historic NC 2-A.
