NC 482: was born as new primary routing in 1930. It ran from NC 48 (now US 158) Littleton south to NC 561 near Hollister.
In 1934, NC 482 was extended south as new primary routing to NC 43 near Rocky Mount.
In late 1934, NC 482 was renumbered as NC 4. The 1930 Halifax County map clearly shows NC 482 not entering Warren County as NC 4 does today. NC 482 used Ferguson St into Littleton.
