NC 605: was born in 1932. It ran from US 421/NC 60 Jonesboro (at the corner of Main St at Lee Ave -- NC 60 used Lee south to Main then followed Main eastward) west to US 1-15/NC 50-75 Tramway.
In 1936, NC 605 became part of current NC 24. Today it is NC 78 (which now ends at Horner Blvd, a half mile further east than NC 605 did).
