SC 139: Appeared in 1940 as new primary routing, running from SC 88 northwest through Central to SC 133 (now Old Six Mile Rd). A second discontinuous piece ran from US 76/SC 13-28 (now S-37-1) northeast to the Pickens County line.
In 1947, SC 139 was truncated to run only from SC 13 (now SC 93) Central to SC 88. SC 133 to Central became S-39-15 and the discontinuous piece became S-37-27.
In 1953, the rest of SC 139 was downgraded to S-39-18. Today the westernmost half-mile of so is part of SC 133.
