No multilane sections shown on the 2005 Official map. SC 150 might have a multilane piece or two within Gaffney.
Comment: SC 150 serves Glenn Springs, Pacolet, and Gaffney.
SC 150 is blown off directly by I-85, although the next exits to either side (SC 11 and SC 18) have SC 150 shields at them to direct you over...

 Creation: Created in 1937 as a complete renumbering of original SC 35. Ran as it does today without the bypasses, plus extended north to the NC State Line. This is the 2nd SC 151.
Adjustments: In 1951 or 1952, SC 151 north was truncated to SC 9 Pageland. The piece north of Pageland became part of US 601.
Between 1955-58, SC 151 was sent along the south bypass of Hartsville, replacing SC 151 ALT. This left behind SC 151 Business.
In 1974 or 1975, SC 151 south was truncated to the new US 52 Darlington Bypass, leaving behind SC 34.
Between 1983-85, SC 151 was placed on a bypass east around Pageland, leaving SC 151 Business.
In 1997, SC 151 was routed onto a bypass east of Jefferson, leaving behind SC 151 Business.
Improvements: Fully paved upon designation.
SC 151 was 4-laned on its SC 34 multiplex in 1973.
In 1974 or 1975, this 4-laning was extended to the east end of the Hartsville Bypass.
When opened between 1983-85, the Pageland Bypass north of SC 9 was 4-laned.
In 1997, SC 151 was 4-laned from SC 9 south to the end of the bypass south of Jefferson.
In 2004, SC 151 was 4-laned around Hartsville, plus north through McBee and most of the way to SC 903. This leaves only about 7 miles of SC 151 still 2-lane.
Comment: SC 151 serves as a thoroughfare between the Darlington/Florence area and Monroe/Charlotte, NC.
Previous SC 151's: SC 151 #1: Appeared in 1927 as new primary routing. Ran from US 29/SC 15 (current SC 28 Bus) Anderson northeast to SC 20 Williamston.
About 1930, SC 151 was renumbered as SC 248. Today it is US 29 Business north of Anderson, US 29, and the US 29-SC 20 CONN.
SC 151 ALT:Short-lived number for the Hartsville Bypass, which arrived in 1954. The southern half of this had been SC 405 prior to 1948. This became mainline SC 151 by 1958.

SC 152  not currently assigned
Previous SC 152's: SC 152 #1: Appeared in 1927 as new primary routing. Ran from SC 15 (current US 76-178,SC 20) Belton northeast to US 25 Ware Place.
About 1930, SC 152 was renumbered as SC 247.
SC 152 #2: Appeared in 1937 or 1938 as new primary routing. Ran from SC 121 (current SC 210) east to US 15 in the Four Hole Swamp.
In 1940, SC 152 was extended east by multiplexing south 1 mile with US 15, then heading east to Giant, then heading south along today's SC 453 to end at US 178/SC 2 Harleyville.
In 1941 or 1942, SC 152 was extended east again, over to about where Francis Beidler Forest is today. This brought SC 152 to a total length of 25 miles.
In 1948, SC 152 was downgraded to S-38-92, S-38-28, S-18-11, S-18-50, and S-18-28.
SC 153

To: US 123 east of Easley (Pickens County).

 Creation: Created as new primary routing in 1974 or 1975. Originally ran only between US 123 and SC 81. THis is the 2nd SC 153.
Adjustments: In 1976 or 1977, SC 153 was extended south to I-85/US 29.
In 2001 or 2002, SC 153 was extended south to I-185.
Improvements: SC 153 was paved upon designation; SC 153 was 4-laned in 1992.
Comment: SC 153 provides access to Easley and the US 123 connection to Clemson from I-85.
SCDOT documents show that SC 153 is to be extended north to SC 183.
Previous SC 153's: SC 153 #1: Appeared in 1940 as new primary routing. Ran from SC 151 (current SC 151 Bus) West Hartsville west to SC 341 at the Turkey Creek Bridge in Lee County.
In 1941 or 1942, a second piece of SC 153 appeared, between SC 344 (current S-31-21) and SC 348 (current S-31-50) Lucknow. SC 153 was 12 miles long at this point.
In 1948, SC 153 was downgraded to S-31-41, S-31-17, S-16-16, S-31-14, and S-16-12.

 Creation: Created in 1939 as mostly new primary routing. Ran as it does today. The short piece from S-31-1 Mayesville south to US 76 was shown as primary routing along with S-31-1, but not labeled as to its number (US 76A?).
Adjustments:None
Improvements: SC 154 was fully paved between 1943-48; no multilane sections shown on the 2005 Official Map.
Comment: SC 154 essentially connects Mayesville to Bishopville.
SC 154 is blown off by I-20 about halfway between the US 15 and SC 341 exits.

 
 
SC 155  not currently assigned
Previous SC 155's: SC 155: Appeared in 1940 as new primary routing. Ran from SC 34-151 Earlys Crossroads to SC 109 (current S-16-24) Auburn, a distance of 5 miles.
In 1948, SC 155 was downgraded to S-16-13.
SC 156  not currently assigned
Previous SC 156's: SC 156: Appeared in 1940 as new primary routing. Ran from SC 153 (current S-31-14) Ashland south to today's S-31-43 southwest of Lee State Park and Exit 123 on I-20, 11 miles away.
In 1948, SC 156 was downgraded to S-31-13 and S-31-22.

 
 
SC 157

 Creation: Resurrected as a state route in 1949, running as it does today.
Adjustments:SC 157 origianlly appeared in 1941 or 1942, running as it does today.
In 1948, SC 157 was downgraded to an unknown secondary route before its 1949 resurrection.
Improvements: SC 157 was fully paved in 1949; no multilane sections shown on the 2005 Official Map.
Comment: SC 157 doesn't have much excitement to it.

 
 
SC 158  not currently assigned
Previous SC 158's: SC 158: Appeared in 1940 as new primary routing. Ran from SC 260 Jordan west through Summerton and ending at Rimini. SC 158 had a small multiplex with US 301 and was a total length of 18 miles.
In 1948, SC 158 was downgraded to S-14-25, S-14-38, and S-14-26.

Previous SC 159's: SC 159: Appeared in 1940 as new primary routing. Ran from US 15 Alcot southeast 4 miles to current S-31-39 Cypress Crossroads.
In 1941 or 1942, SC 159 was extended east to the Darlington County Line.
In 1948, SC 159 was downgraded to S-31-30.
