In 1945, SC 241 was extended south as new primary routing to the Edgefield County Line.
In 1947, SC 241 was downgraded to S-24-27 north of US 178; S-24-30 from US 178 to S-24-104; S-24-45 (now also S-24-30) south to the Edgefield Line
