US 501: 11.9 - 11.9
SC 503: Appeared in 1940 as new primary routing, running from US 501-501 ALT (now S-26-15) Myrtle Beach northwest through Pine Island and ending at US 501 (now SC 544) south of Conway.
By 1948, SC 503 was moved onto a direct route from Conway to Myrtle Beach. The old route used Cox Ferry Rd from today's SC 544 to US 501; from there to Gardener Lacy Rd is no longer a road of any kind; Conbraco Rd; dirt road that may not be driveable down to about the SC 31 overpass; Ronald McNair Blvd; Christa McAuliffe St; undrivable dirt road south of and parallel to the railroad until it gets back to US 501 at the Intracoastal Waterway.
