SC 721: Appeared in 1942 as a two piece route:
1. SC 72 (now just Savannah St) Calhoun Falls southeast to the McCormick County Line.
2. SC 72 southwest to the McCormick County Line.
Between 1943-46, the two pieces of SC 721 were connected.
In 1947, SC 721 was downgraded to S-1-31 (piece 1); S-1-40 (piece 2); S-1-42 west of Little Creek and S-1-41 east of Little Creek for the middle connecting piece (both now also S-1-40).
