SC 822: Appeared in April 1938 (SCDOT) as new primary routing. Ran as a 0.4 mile spur from SC 82 (now SC 81) Lowndesville southwest on Depot St to the nearby railroad crossing.
In 1947, SC 822 was downgraded to S-1-65.
Given how routes like this were treated elsewhere in South Carolina I'm surprised this wasn't SC 82 ALT.
