Creation: Appeared December 2011 as a new roadway from WV 41 southeast to the Beckley Soccer Complex, then continuing on roadway that had been built a few years prior to connect with US 19 and the older US 19 Connector to I-64. It is unclear if the piece south of the soccer complex had a designation or not.
Adjustments: In September 2018, US 19 Bypass was extended north to US 19/WV 16.
Improvements: Paved and multilaned since inception
Comment: US 19 Bypass was not posted as such until it was extended to US 19/WV 16.
This highway makes it possible to get from I-64 to Corridor L without having to go to the Turnpike or driving through much of commercial Beckley.
