NC 109 Bus #1: Appeared in 1960 as a renumbering of NC 109-A in the Thomasville area.
NC 109 Bus used Fisher Ferry St plus a bit of Main St in downtown Thomasville.
When mainline NC 109 was rebuilt in 1971, NC 109 Business was downgraded to secondary status.

NC 109 Bus #2 was born in 1960 as a renumbering of NC 109-A.
NC 109 Business used Eldorado St, Smitherton St, N. Main St (with NC 134) and W. Main St (with NC 24-27) through Troy.
In November 2024 (NCDOT), NC 109 Business was decommissioned.
