History: | NC 134 was born in 1968 as an upgrade to Montgomery SR 1312 and Randolph SRs 1116/1134. The road had already been reconfigured for the freeway interchange before it became NC 134. |

Comment: | NC 134 and NC 159 could be combined to form one route, though I'm not sure what the need for 134 really is.
A fair chunk of NC 134's routing was still not paved on the 1967 county maps. |
