N.C. 341  dead
Formerly:
NC 341: An original state highway. Initially ran as a short stub from VA 34 (current US 158) Morgans Corner to South Mills.
In 1923, NC 341 was extended north along the Dismal Canal to the Virginia State Line to meet with the original VA 40.
In 1927, US 17 was assigned to the entirety of NC 341, and thus in 1934 the NC 341 designation was removed.

Today, NC 341 is old US 17 from Morgan's Corner, a little US 17, US 17 Business through South Mills, and the SB lanes of US 17 from there to Virginia. The abandoned segment of road behind the NC Welcome Center is an original piece of NC 341.
