NC 555: Appears in an June 2014 NCDOT route change request document. It assigns NC 555 to the 10.8 miles of SR 1007 from SR 2337 Wilmington Hwy (Old NC 87) over Owen Drive and then the All American Freeway to end at the Fort Bragg gate.
