US 13 Business #2: Born in 1960 as a renumbering of US 13-A through Windsor. US 13 Business utilizes King St and Granville St through town. US 13 Bus was cosigned with US 17 Bus on the Granville St. portion for over 30 years.

US 13 Business #3: The third US 13 Business was born June 2003 (AASHTO) as Bethel was bypassed to the east by US 13. This had been US 13 mainline previously. US 13 Business uses Main St. through Bethel and is 100% duplexed with NC 11 Business.

There is one decommissioned US 13 Business route. The 1st US 13 Business was born in in 1960 replacing US 13-A through Williamston along US 17 Bus and US 64 Bus Main St. This is explicitly in 1960 correspondence with AASHO. It was likely not posted and may have been deleted by 1962. Today it is SR 1450 River Rd, part of US 17 Bus and SR 1444 along Main St. Never seen a map that shows this.
