US 13Y #1 and #2: On April 24, 1943 Virginia officially request from AASHO approval to renumber both VA 13Y routes as US 13Y.
On May 13, 1943 Virginia dropped this request after getting negative feedback from AASHO and the routes both remained VA 13Y until March 1956 when they were both renumbered as part of VA 166. For some reason, the 1952-54 State Officials show these as US 13Y anstead of VA 13Y.
