Creation: Appeared in Jan 1959 (CTB) as new primary routing, running generally the way it does now. This is the only VA 359.
| Adjustments: In 2004, VA 359 was put on almost entirely new alignment to give room for Jamestown Settlement Parking. The original north end was directly across from the Jamestown Beach Event Park entry. Improvements: Paved upon inception; no multilane segments Posting: No longer posted at or leaving the Colonial Pkwy; erroneous US 359 cutout existed in mid-80s.
