VA 444?: Appeared in July 1932 (CTB) as new primary routing running from VA 10 (now US 460 Bus) Nottoway C.H. northeast 1.70 miles. Part of this had been the routing of original VA 10.
In July 1933, VA 444 became VA 143. Today it is the bit of SR 625 east of US 460 Bus; the 460 bypass cuts off the route; it picks up on the frontage rd then it ran north on SR 646. VA 444 does not appear on any map I have seen nor is it explicitly named in the CTB Minutes. However it fits the pattern of how District 4 routes were assigned in July 1932. |
