SC 106: Appeared in 1940 as new primary routing, running from US 1 Aiken east to SC 391 (now S-2-21) at the N. Edisto River bridge.
In 1942, SC 106 was extended south with US 1 then SC 19 through Aiken, then southwest as new primary routing to end at Kathwood, just past SC 28 (now S-2-5).
In 1947, SC 106 was downgraded to S-2-43 west of then-SC 28 (now S-2-32); S-2-32 (east of now-SC 125 is SC 302); S-2-29
