SC 244: Appeared in 1940 as new primary routing from SC 24 Townsville northwest to US 76/SC 13-28 (now SC 130) Seneca.
In 1947, SC 244 was downgraded to S-4-3x (now S-4-92) and S-37-21. Today an arm of Lake Hartwell splits old SC 244 into two discontinuous segments around the Oconee-Anderson Line.
