SC 249: Appeared in 1940 as new primary routing from SC 24 northeast around Anderson to US 76-178/SC 28.
In 1942, SC 249 was extended west a little with SC 24, then southwest as new primary routing to end at SC 80 (now S-4-22).
In 1947, SC 249 was downgraded to S-4-34 east of SC 24 and S-4-43 (now SC 187) west of SC 24.
