SC 322 ALT #1: Appeared in 1940 running from SC 322 along Main St to end at Oakland St which was then-US 21/SC 5. East of S-46-289 Finley Rd was a renumbering of SC 322 while west of Finley St was new primary designation.
It appears SC 322 ALT stayed in the primary system until SC 5 was routed onto Main St in 1959. Neither York County nor state official maps label what the road is during the 1947-59 timeframe. Today this part of Main St is S-46-1.
