Creation: SC 358 appeared in 1950 as an upgrade to S-42-38, running as it does today. This is the only SC 358.
Adjustments: In the early 2000s, SC 358 south was truncated slightly to its current endpoint when the US 29-SC 129-SC 292 set up was rebuilt. SC 358 used to cross SC 129 and end at SC 292.
Improvements: SC 358 was fully paved upon designation; no multilane sections
Comment: I drove SC 358 about 27 years ago and remember nothing exciting about it.
