SC 430 ALT: Appeared in 1940 as new primary routing, running from US 25/SC 430 southeast to SC 23 along the edge of Edgefield.
In 1941, SC 430 ALT was rerouted onto a lot of new alignment to meet SC 23 further east. The old route used today's S-19-386 Moore Lambert Way; S-19-483 and S-19-91 Edgewood Rd.
In 1947, SC 430 ALT became part of SC 430.
I could've sworn I've seen this posted as SC 430 ALT in the late 1980s but no map I've seen corroborates this.
