SC 524: Appeared in July 1936 (SCDOT) as new primary routing running from US 521 Lancaster the 0.2 miles to the village of New Brookland
In 1947, SC 524 was downgraded to S-29-16 without ever having been extended any further.
SC 524 was not shown on maps but fits the pattern of route assignment and eventual secondary route designation.
