The old path north to Jedburg and Pinopolis became: S-18-24 to SC 64 (now S-18-22); S-18-22 then S-18-12 to Jedburg (Lotts Crossroads to Jedburg is now S-18-58); S-18-15 to Berkeley Line (now S-18-58); S-8-17 to today's US 176 (now S-8-16); S-8-16 to Pinopolis.
In Dec 1950, SC 642 was extended west to its current endpoint at what is now US 17 ALT, replacing some of SC 65
