Previous SC 706's: 1946 ROUTE LOG US 76, SC 2: 0 - 0 SC 66: 10.1 - 10.1 SC 72: 3.3 - 13.4		SC 706: Appeared in 1940 as a new primary route from US 76/SC 2 Jalapa to SC 7 (now SC 72) Whitmire. In 1947, SC 706 was downgraded to S-36-21 (now S-36-32) south of SC 66 Eison Crossroads. The rest became part of SC 66. Note that SC 66 has been rerouted in Whitmire. SC 706 used S-36-51 Broom St/Railroad St.	SC 706 in Newberry County 1940 Official
