SC 941: Appeared in 1940 as new primary routing, running from SC 94 (now S-14-37) east of New Zion south to end at today's S-14-122 Newmans Branch Rd in Unions Crossroads.
In 1942, the original routing of SC 941 became the middle piece of a discontinuous SC 941 with the addition of:
1. SC 54 (now US 378) east of Turbeville south to today's S-14-34 Puddin Swamp Rd (northern piece)
2. US 301 near Manning east to SC 527 (southern piece).
The 3 pieces in 1942 constituted 17 miles total.
SC 941 was briefly the highest number in South Carolina. In late 1947, SC 941 was downgraded to S-14-40 (southern piece); S-14-19 (middle piece); S-14-35 (northern piece).
There is still no road that could connect the middle piece to the northern piece.
SC 941 was briefly the highest number in South Carolina.
