US 217: Appeared as an original US Highway in late 1926, running from US 17 (now US 76) Pee Dee northeast through Latta and Dillon before entering North Carolina. US 217 was attached to SC 23.
In 1928, SC 23 was dropped from US 217.
In 1933, US 217 was renumbered as US 301 which it remains except it used S-17-630 to cross into North Carolina. It appears US 217 did not use S-17-25 into Dillon.
