TN 89 original description
1928 Route Log

Adjustments: The 1929 official and the 1930 route log show TN 89 changed to Dresden through Palmersville to the Kentucky Line. The route to Dukedom did become TN 118 a decade later.
A little northeast of Dresden, TN 89 almost certainly used the N-S part of Lebanon Church Rd (no longer connects north to TN 89), Jewell Store Rd, Woodruff Rd, abandoned alignment, some of Laycock Rd and more abandoned alignment southwest back to TN 89. It stopped using this alignment by 1938.
In 1953 or 1954, TN 89 south was extended with TN 54 through Dresden, then southwest to end at US 45E Sharon.
In 1983, TN 89 south was extended west to TN 105 Trimble.
Posting: Posted as secondary everywhere
The overlays with US 45W and TN 54 are fully posted.
Secret US Route Overlay: None
Comment: TN 89's routing west of Sharon is quite meandering.
TN 89 has postings in downtown Trimble with TN 105.
