US 63  Diverted
Previous US 63's:

US 63: In April 1940, Arkansas and Mississippi proposed extending US 63 from its then-terminus of Turrell AR to Gulfport MS. Tennessee signed on for the brief incurson through Memphis as an overlay with US 61 and US 51.
In July 1940, AASHO only approved extending US 63 to Memphis.
In 1999, US 63 was rerouted at West Memphis TN to head the opposite direction on its new path to Ruston LA, removing US 63 from Tennessee.
Tennessee completely ignored US 63 for those six decades, never signing it or having it on maps. Arkansas did post it right up to the Mississippi River Bridge for years.
