WV 77: Appeared 1925 as new primary routing running from WV 1 (now CR 50/32 Airport Rd) Bridgeport southeast to WV 56 (now US 119-250) north of Phillipi.
Between 1929-31, WV 77's west end was moved to the other side of the airport, just north of the current WV 76 endpoint. The old road became CR 77/1 (now CR 50/33 Langstown Rd; a bit of US 50 Main St; CR 77/1 Langtown Rd which no longer connects to today's WV 76). About 1943, WV 77 was rerouted to go via Flemington in Taylor County, replacing WV 77 ALT About 1961, WV 77 became WV 76 whose western end was truncated 0.1 mile to a rerouted US 50.
