From: Ohio State Line at Belpre OH (Wood County) To: Parkersburg (Wood County) Total Length: 0.9 miles
ROUTE LOG Ohio State Line: 0 - 0 WV 14, WV 68: 0.9 - 0.9		Creation: The 1993 and 2015 Control Destinations lists for the West Virginia primary system show WV 140 as the "Parkersville Toll Bridge". Although the bridge opened about 1955, based on the number (14x), I believe this designation did not come until after US 21 was decommissioned and renumbered to WV 14 in the early 1970s. This is the only WV 140. Adjustments: None Improvements: Upon designation, WV 140 was fully paved; no multilane segments. Comment: The Parkersburg Toll Bridge is better known as Memorial Bridge. WV 140 does not appear on county maps (shown as FANS route 5798) nor the 1980 WVDOT Parkersburg map. WV 140 is only posted as TO OH 7 from WV 14-68. On the Ohio side there are no route postings of any kind.
