WV 290: Appeared in 1976 as an upgrade to CR 29 (with a bit of new construction), running from US 52 (now WV 598) east to I-77 near Walker Tunnel.
In June 1980 (AASHTO), WV 290 was renumbered as part of US 52. Today, it is US 52, then CR 29 E. Cumberland Rd, then a bit of US 52-460, then CR 52/53 Panorama Rd (starting at the point where the ramp to current US 52 east is).
