Creation: WV 901 was designated between 1978-80 as an upgrade to CR 3, running as it does now. This is the only WV 901.
Adjustments: None
Improvements: Upon designation, WV 901 was fully paved; multilaned from US 11 through the I-81 interchange in 2003.
Comment: A way to get to WV 9 towards Berkeley Springs from I-81 north. But a terrible road which I drove im May 2020 to find a ton of 20 mph curves. Not sure why this was put into the primary system with no improvement at all.
