Formerly:
NC 54 Bus: Born in 1960 as a renumbering of NC 54-A through Carrboro and Chapel Hill.
The 1984-85 Official still shows this as active and the 1987 Official shows NC 54 Bus as gone. Today it is Main St through Carrboro; Franklin St, a couple blocks of NC 86; South St and Raleigh Rd.
