VA 548: Appeared in July 1932 (CTB) as an upgrade to CR 116, running from US 13/VA 34 Accomac north 3 miles through Greenbush towards Parksley, ending at CR 117 (now SR 661).
In July 1933, VA 548 became VA 177. Today it is SR 764 and some SR 763. VA 548 does not appear on any map I have seen nor is it explicitly named in the CTB Minutes. However it fits the pattern of how District 5 routes were assigned in July 1932. If it were not VA 548 it would have to have been a weird separate piece of either VA 521 or VA 522, which I see as far less likely. |
