Creation: SC 130 appeared in 1936 or 1937 as new primary routing running as a stub from US 76/SC 13-24 (now S-37-1) to Newry. This is the only SC 130.
Adjustments: In 1942, SC 130 was extended north as new primary routing to end at SC 183 (now S-37-15).
In 1959, SC 130 was extended south replacing US 76-123/SC 28 to end at the relocated US 76-123/SC 28 near Seneca. Also in 1959, SC 130 was rerouted at its north end replacing S-37-45 to end at SC 183 near the Seneca River bridge. The old route to SC 183 became S-37-38.
In 1970, SC 130 was altered to accomodate Lake Keowee by being put on almost entirely new construction to avoid Newry entirely and end at SC 183 west of the previous endpoint. This left behind Major Rd, Newry Rd, Broadway St to Newry; in Newry SC 130 used River Ridge Rd, then Fish Pond Ln/abandoned routing along the Little River to the current SC 130 causeway; under the Lake; the stub of S-37-38 that juts northeast back to SC 130; current SC 130; S-37-6
In 1976, SC 130 was extended north with SC 183, then replaced S-37-45, S-37-24, a bit of SC 11 Bus in Salem, and S-37-171 to end at SC 11.
