SC 152 #1: Appeared about 1926 as new primary routing, running from SC 20 Belton east to SC 21 (now US 25) Ware Place.
In 1929, SC 152 was renumbered as SC 247. SC 152 may have used S-4-181 out of Belton.

SC 152 #2: Appeared in Nov 1937 (SCDOT) as new primary routing running from US 15 north of Rosinville west to the Orangeburg Count line.
In Dec 1937 (SCDOT), SC 152 was extended west as new primary routing to SC 121 (now SC 210) east of Bowman.
In 1940, SC 152 was sent south with US 15, then east as new primary routing to end at US 178/SC 2 Harleyville.
In 1942, SC 152 was sent with US 178/SC 2 across Harleyville, then northeast 9 miles to the northern intersection of today's Mizell Rd.
About 1945, SC 152 was extended southeast as new primary routing to US 178/SC 2 near US 78.
In 1947, SC 152 became S-38-28; S-18-11; S-18-17 (now S-18-50 except Tunnel Rd in the vicinity of I-26 and used SC 453); S-18-28; S-18-51 (now also S-18-28)
