Previous SC 946's: 1947 ROUTE LOG SC 901: 0 - 0 SC 5: 4.7 - 4.7 END SC 946: 3.4 - 8.1		SC 946: Appeared in 1942 as new primary routing, running from SC 901 northeast to 3.4 miles past past SC 5 Leslie, ending at today's S-46-160 Reservation Rd near the Catawba Indian Reservation, for a total of 8.1 miles. This is the highest known number used on a primary route in South Carolina. The part south of Lesslie had a decade earlier been part of SC 901. In late 1947, SC 946 was downgraded to S-46-31.
