In 1966, TN 130 was given its crossing of the Elk River which was affected by the creation of Tims Ford Lake. The old route used some of Lees Ford Lane east of the river. Most of the abandoned west side is underwater.
In 1968, TN 130 was given its crossing of Boiling Fork Creek which was also affected by Tims Ford Lake. About half the old routing is underwater and the west side is covered by the park there now.
Between 1966-73, TN 130 was rerouted in Tullahoma to leave US 41A via W. Carroll St to Westside Dr. Previously it used Lincoln St to Westside Dr.
Between 1968-78, TN 130 was rerouted in Petersburg to use Railroad St west to US 431 instead of High St south to US 431.
Between 1993-2002, TN 64-130 was removed from Holland St/Depot street through downtown Shelbyville and placed on the current routing using more US 231, Lane Pkwy and Jefferson St
In 2015 or 2016, TN 130 east was extended to US 64 Bus in Winchester, replacing a bit of TN 50.
