TN 3 Byp #1: Appears on topos and aerials between 1951-54 (appeared in route log starting 1958) as a new bypass around the south and east of Union City. County maps through at least 1963 show this as TN 3 Loop. By 1970, they showed it as TN 3 Byp.
About 1971, this TN 3 Byp was renumbered as mainline TN 3 when the new TN 3 Byp was built around the west and north of Union City. Today it is part of TN 184.
