Adjustments: In 1936 or 1937, WV 24 was removed from CR 24/8 (changed its original US 219 endpoint to today's location); CR 24/15 near Horse Shoe Run; CR 575 and CR 57/6 in Eglon; CR 24/14 near Brookside which no longer connects back to WV 24).
Improvements: Fully paved upon rebuild in 1936-37; no multilane segments
Comment: A terrific short cut between US 50 and US 219 with good alignments and highway speeds...

If WV 24 ever used CR 219/1 Old Oakvale Rd it stopped by 1931
In 1932, WV 24 north was truncated to Breedlove to the newly created WV 24E and WV 24W split. WV 24W replaced WV 24 to Maryland (this is now partly US 219 and CR 219/5 at the state line). See scans under current WV 24.
In 1935, WV 24 was renumbered as US 219. Today this is approximated by: WV 20 out of Princeton; WV 104; CR 460/10 Oakvale Rd (no longer connects to), CR 460/2 and CR 460/1 Hilltop Dr, CR 460/5 Fountain Park Rd, CR 35 Goodwins Chapel Rd, a bit of WV 112, CR 460/6 Goodwins Chapel Rd, a little US 460, and the Ball Ave loop at the state line (accessible only from the Virginia side); US 219 from Peterstown to Breedlove except: US 219 SB alignment in Fairlea; CR 219/1 Renicks Valley Rd; CR 219/19 Old Hwy US 250, CR 219/12 SH Wood Rd, CR 219/11 Country Club Rd from Hazelwood to Midland, CR 25 and CR 5/6 Glenmore Loop Rd, CRs 219/30, 219/32 and CR 219/33; leaving Elkins it used CR 219/86 to Kerens
