Creation: Appeared between 1967-70, running as it does today. Glen Daniel to Bolt was an upgrade to CR 15 and the rest over to WV 85 was new construction. This is the only WV 99.

Improvements: Upon designation, WV 99 was fully paved; WV 99 has no multilne segments.
Comment: WV 99 actually dips into Wyoming County several times but none of these crossings is marked.
WV 99 traverses a bunch of cuts through the mountain between WV 85 and Bolt.
