In 1986, US 15 Business was extended in both directions when mainline US 15 was placed on the newly constructed freeway around the east side of Warrenton. Northbound was extended replacing mainline US 15-29 to about the same location as the destroyed original north end of the business route. Southbound was extended over original US 15-17-29 another mile to the new bypass location.
