In May 1987 (AASHTO), US 15 Business was extended in both directions when mainline US 15 was placed on the newly constructed freeway around the east side of Warrenton. Northbound was extended replacing mainline US 15-29 to about the same location as the destroyed original north end of the business route. Southbound was extended over original US 15-17-29 another mile to the new bypass location.
