SC 11 ALT: Appeared by 1940 as new primary routing, running as a cutoff between SC 11 and US 221 (now US 221 ALT) at the Cowpens Battlefield
It is unclear when SC 11 ALT was downgraded to S-11-26. It is shown as SC 11 ALT on the 1950 Cherokee County map and then no map labels the cutoff explicitly again until 1980.
