SC 178: Appeared in 1928 as a renumbering of SC 413 from US 17 (now US 52) near Moncks Corner east through Jamestown to end at the Charleston County lone near Honey Hill.
In 1933, SC 178 was renumbered as SC 178. Today it is S-8-343, S-8-342, S-8-360, US 17 ALT to Jamestown except Spring Pond Rd, SC 45.
