TN 1A: May have been created about 1959 when US 11W/TN 1 was put on its modern routing between Kingsport and Bristol. It would have begun at Center at Sullivan in Kingsport and followed Center/Fort Henry/Memorial through Kingsport and TN 126 to Bristol.
The 1963 Sullivan County Map and the 1964 Official show no primary route from Kingsport through Blountville to Bristol, which became TN 126 by 1969.
