Improvements: In 1930, SC 63 was paved from Varnville to Hampton.
In 1937, SC 63 was paved from Hampton to Furman
In 1939, SC 63 was paved from Varnville to Walterboro.
SC 63 was 4-laned from I-95 to where it leaves US 17 ALT in downtown Walterboro in 1979.
Comment: SC 63 serves as the main way to get from I-95 NB to Walterboro. Otherwise, SC 63 is a sleepy ride through some empty spaces.
